CSC is committed to the implementation and maintenance of the chain-of-custody standards of the SUSTAINABLE FORESTRY INITIATIVES® (SFI)® program. Custom corrugated packaging from CSC proudly bears the SFI® trademark assuring they have been manufactured using wood fibre from independently audited, legal and sustainable sources.
The SFI® program’s unique fiber sourcing requirements promote responsible forest management on all suppliers’ lands.
Compliance
CSC further commits to full compliance by: conducting periodic reviews of our material handling processes from receipt to invoice, conducting regular product/process training for sales and sales support staff and through full cooperation during annual renewal audits. Corrugated sustainability is a responsibility that we at Container Service Corp. take seriously. We have a long-standing tradition of responsible stewardship focused on the sustainability of forest materials. Corrugated products have a strong environmental record. At CSC, our recycle and recovery practices result in 100% of our scrap and rejected corrugated sheets being recycled. Our Waltz-Holtz scrap system collects trim at the source. By concentrating on quality and productivity, we also minimize our energy usage and reduce waste.
